FIFA World cup  2010 was full of surprises and great game, with new teams performing well and champions not reaching up to the mark. I was lucky enough to watch all matches in this world cup.

My favorite Italy, the defending champions  and France failed to qualify the group stages itself. Italy has been my favorite for past 4 to 5 world cups. I still remember being in tears when Roberto Baggio missed the penalty shot in their finals with Brazil in 1994Worldcup.

Brazil were knocked out in the quarter-finals by the Dutch team. I didn’t feel the Dutch played. They were easily letting go off all chances to score more goals. England and Argentina were smoked out by Germany.

This World cup the best matches were displayed by the German side, scintillating display by the Joachim Low’s young team. Sadly they were defeated by, the European champions and FIFA ranking #2, Spain. I guess Mueller might have bought a difference but nevertheless, the La furia roja did play real well.

Another interesting news in this World cup was Paul the octupus :-), predicting all the matches, which just adds to the fun 🙂

My favorite striker in this World cup is Diego Forlan of Uruguay. I do like all the German players, a well sycnhronised game.

So now the Spanish team head for their first world cup, playing against Netherlands. Both the teams haven’t won the World cup so far. Germany will be playing against Uruguay for 3rd and 4th  positions.

So 2 interesting games ahead and lets wait and watch who carries the 18 carat and 6.175kg gold trophy. Also whose gonna win other awards like Golden boot(top scorer), golden ball (best player) etc.

The term milestones related to a baby is not something very common in India. Milestones are scientifically standardized records of baby development.

I learned about baby milestones when I was casually browsing through some baby topics. I realized, I wasn’t aware of the most important topics regarding baby development stages and the time-line associated with it.

The major milestones are head control, rolling, sitting, crawling , standing and walking. Now the bell rings, yes we have heard our elders asking us if baby has started lying on his tummy, sitting, crawling etc. What is not discussed is when it should be done and how can we help them to reach the milestones in time. The only advise I got was put the baby on floor and shes gone do all of it 😉 hahah.

My baby was late on her tummy, but now with a little help from me and Ram shes reaching all her milestones in time. Im sure any parent would feel low to see his/her little one not able to do things other babies of same age or maybe even younger ones are able to achieve. Also I have noticed many parents complaining that their baby’s weight being a reason for their baby lagging behind others. I dont agree with this, my baby’s weight lies on the 90th percentile, shes definitely heavy and I dont see that being a major problem

I suggest parents to put a little effort and read more on this topic and see how your baby develops better. We spend most of our time with our little one so why not do things and play games, to help them grow better.

I was away for quite sometime.
